MCMS Update - April 29 - May 3, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS Families! Happy Weekend!  It was a full week of academic preparation for our upcoming state assessments.  Teachers spent time this week wrapping up final units of study and reviewing previously taught topics to make sure our students are ready.  State testing will begin on Wednesday, May 1st with SC Ready Reading.  This will be followed by SC Ready Writing on Thursday and SC Ready Writing Field Test on Friday.  Testing this week will be for all grade levels.  Make sure your child gets plenty of rest and is ready to go for testing.  We are proud of the preparation our students have done and know they will do well on the SC Ready! MCMS Update - April 22 - 26, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS Families! We hope everyone is having a great start to your weekend!  With five short weeks remaining in the school year, things are coming to a close quickly.  We will be wrapping up Spring Sports, enjoying Band and Chorus concerts, and celebrating student success with our award ceremonies.  Our students and teachers have worked hard all year and we look forward to finishing strong! On Wednesday, our 8th grade students enjoyed there visit to MCHS this week!  Here are a few pictures from the school tour.  Let's Go Class of 2028! Good Afternoon MCMS Families! Happy Friday! We hope everyone had a great week back from Spring Break.  This week we had amazing performances by our band and chorus programs at our Fine Arts Assembly and recognized our student artists at the District Art Show.  We are proud of the talents of our students and look forward to seeing what they accomplish in the future. MCMS Update - April 8 - 12, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS Families! We hope everyone has had a great Spring Break and is recharged for the last few weeks of school.  We look forward to an exciting April and May, as we wrap up the 2023-2024 school year.  Over the next 7 weeks, our teachers will continue to focus on making sure our students are ready for end-of-the-year testing and have a strong academic foundation for the next grade level.  We are proud of the progress all of our students have made and look forward to continued growth.   Please continue to review your child's grades in the Parent Portal and on their Schoology app.  Reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions related to grades or assignments.  MCMS Welcomes Rising 6th Grade Students! Good Afternoon MCMS Families, We would like to wish all of our families a happy and relaxing Spring Break!  Enjoy some much-needed rest next week and get ready for a strong finish to the school year.  We are proud of all of our students and the hard work they have displayed this year.   MCMS school offices will be closed March 29th - April 5th.  We will return on Monday, April 8th! Good Afternoon MCMS Families! We hope everyone had a great week! We enjoyed celebrating our students that earned A Honor Roll, A/B Honor Roll, and Honorable Mention Honor Roll during the 3rd Nine Weeks Award Ceremony.  We are proud of the academic growth and accomplishments of our students.  Keep up the hard work! Spring Break is a week away and we are all looking forward to having some much needed rest as we get ready for the final few weeks of the year.  Good luck to our Band as they will perform at the Concert Performance Assessment on Tuesday.  We would also like to wish good luck to our MCMS Archery Team as they compete at the State Meet on Thursday!  Let's Go MCMS!   Reminder: School offices will be closed from Friday, March 29th through Friday, April 5th .  Please feel free to reach out to the main office if you have any questions related to end of the year events.
