MCMS Parents and Students, We hope that you are having a great week!  It has been a busy month of June at Mid-Carolina, we are finishing up the 2022-2023 school year and getting ready for 2023-2024.  Classrooms and hallways are getting cleaned and a fresh coat of wax.  We have had a great session of summer learning over the last four weeks with approximately 50 of our MCMS students.  Our teachers have been participating in summer professional learning opportunities as they get ready for another great year.   Below are a few summer reminders to help your family prepare for the upcoming school year.  Please reach out to us if you have any questions, we are here to help! MCMS Parents, As you prepare for the 2023-2024 school year, we wanted to provide you with a common list of school fees that you may see on your account.  Please reach out to our school if you have any questions. Technology Fee - The technology fee is an optional fee for all students.  We highly encourage our families to pay this fee, it will help cover the cost of repairs to your students laptop from damages that could occur during the school year. Common School Fees for 2023-2024: General School Fee (all students) - $30.00 Technology Fee (optional for all students) - $25.00 Band Fee (only if your child is enrolled in this class) - $15.00 Chorus Fee (only if your child is enrolled in this class) - $15.00 The School District of Newberry County and Mid-Carolina Middle School values your support of our school. MCMS Families, Do you shop at Publix?  If you do, we have an easy way for you to support our school!  Add Mid-Carolina Middle School to your Club Publix account.  Each time you shop and enter your phone number, Publix will donate money back to our school.  Below is information and a link to a document on how you can add our school to your account.   Publix Partners through Club Publix Publix Partners has gone digital, meaning there is  no physical card required . Attached, you will find a document that outlines steps to link a personal Club Publix account to your school. Please advise your school’s staff and parents to sign up for a   Club Publix   account to designate your school as the Publix Partners recipient on their account. Welcome Rising 6th Grade Students and Families! We hope that you and your family are having a great summer!  We are excited to welcome our new MCMS 6th graders to campus this fall and look forward to a great 2023-2024 school year.  As you begin preparing for your transition to Middle School, we want to make sure you have all the information and resources you need.   Below is information about upcoming dates and events for you and your students.   Feel free to review  MCMS Rising 6th Grade Information- 2023  for additional information about being in 6th grade at MCMS. Throughout the summer we will be sending communication to our families to help prepare your child for the school year.  Be sure to check your email and our school blog for information. MCMS 2023-2024 Annual Registration- No Snap Code Needed MCMS 2023-2024 Annual Registration is now OPEN! This year, parents will have to go through the Parent Portal for annual registration. MCMS will not be using Snapcodes for annual registration .  Parents will go through the Parent Portal and select "returning student registration." You will not be able to complete annual registration through the mobile app or through the district website . You must use your Parent Portal online account for this registration.

MCMS Summer Office Hours The MCMS Summer Office hours begin on Monday, June 5th. The main office will be open from 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Monday - Thursday during the summer. MCMS will be closed on Fridays and the week of July 4th. MCMS will resume normal Monday - Friday office hours on Monday, July 31, 2023.
