MCMS Update

MCMS Volleyball Tryouts: Volleyball tryouts will be Tuesday, August 1-Friday, August 4 in the MCMS big gym from 3:30-5:00pm. Please have water, workout clothes and shoes.

MCMS Families, We would like to officially welcome everyone to the start of the 2023-2024 school year!  We are excited to begin another great year at Mid-Carolina!  We have three weeks until the first day of school and we are here to help make sure your child is ready for August 9th.  We have several back-to-school events over the next few weeks, please read over the information below to find out more details. Our first event, is our annual  Back-to-School Registration . These are scheduled for Monday, July 24th from 1:00 - 6:00 PM and Tuesday, July 25th from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM.  Registration will occur in the MCMS Cafeteria.   **If you are unable to attend back-to-school registration, no problem !  MCMS Parents and Students, We hope that you and your family are staying cool this summer!  We are one month away from the start of the 2023-2024 school year!  Our school maintenance staff has been busy over the last several weeks and has everything looking great for our return to school on August 9th.  Thank you to everyone who has completed your  MCMS 2023-2024 Annual Registration .  As a reminder, MCMS is not using Snap Codes for annual registration this year.  Parents will go through the Parent Portal and select "returning student registration." You will not be able to complete annual registration through the mobile app or through the district website. You must use your Parent Portal online account for this registration, please reach out to us if you need access to your Parent Portal account. As you are beginning to start back-to-school shopping, we wanted to remind all of our families that we will once again be providing ALL students with required school supplies.   Thos

MCMS Summer Reading Information- 2023 Learning does not stop in the summer! Please help encourage your child to participate in the School District of Newberry County Reading Program.  Reading over the summer helps students retain knowledge and skills.  It is good exercise for the brain.  This summer students can earn reading incentives for the time they spend reading.  The School District of Newberry County is giving all middle school students packets of books.  Students may choose to read these books or may read other books, magazines, or reading material.
