MCMS Update

Good Afternoon MCMS Families, We would like to wish all of our families a happy and relaxing Spring Break!  Enjoy some much-needed rest next week and get ready for a strong finish to the school year.  We are proud of all of our students and the hard work they have displayed this year.   MCMS school offices will be closed March 29th - April 5th.  We will return on Monday, April 8th! Have a great Spring Break!

Good Afternoon MCMS Families! We hope everyone had a great week! We enjoyed celebrating our students that earned A Honor Roll, A/B Honor Roll, and Honorable Mention Honor Roll during the 3rd Nine Weeks Award Ceremony.  We are proud of the academic growth and accomplishments of our students.  Keep up the hard work! Spring Break is a week away and we are all looking forward to having some much needed rest as we get ready for the final few weeks of the year.  Good luck to our Band as they will perform at the Concert Performance Assessment on Tuesday.  We would also like to wish good luck to our MCMS Archery Team as they compete at the State Meet on Thursday!  Let's Go MCMS!   Reminder: School offices will be closed from Friday, March 29th through Friday, April 5th .  Please feel free to reach out to the main office if you have any questions related to end of the year events. Good Afternoon MCMS Families! Happy Friday and Happy St. Patrick's Day Weekend!  We had a fantastic week at MCMS, our students had tremendous growth with their i-Ready Spring Benchmark Assessments.  We are proud of their hard work and look forward to continued improvement during the final quarter of the school year.   On Thursday, all students and staff enjoyed a mini MoonPie in honor of Pi Day (3/14).  Our math teachers also incorporated several fun instructional activities related to Pi.  It was a tasty way to learn math! We recommend that you continue to review your child's grades in the Parent Portal and on their Schoology app. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions related to grades or assignments.  3rd Quarter Academic Awards We look forward to celebrating the third quarter academic accomplishments of our students on Wednesday, March 20th.  8th Grade Awards will begin at 8:00 AM in the Big Gym 6th and 7th Grade Awards will begin at 8:45 AM

We hope all of our families have had a great week!  We are proud to announce that the MCMS Academic Team qualified for the State Championship!  The students have worked hard this year and we look forward to seeing them compete on March 22nd at Winthrop University for the State Championship!  Thank you to our staff who has helped prepare them and our parents who have provided amazing support.  Let's Go MCMS! Happy March 1st!  We hope that you and your family is staying warm and dry on this rainy Friday!  During the month of March, a lot will be going on around campus.  We have benchmark testing, athletic events, special programs, and moving into the last quarter of the school year.  Spring Break is only 4 weeks away and it will be here before we know it!
