As we start the new semester, we encourage you to review your child's grades in the Parent Portal and on their Schoology app. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions related to grades or assignments.

Mindset of the Week- 100% Accountable
The 100% Accountable Mindset teaches the importance of being responsible for our own happiness and success. Being 100% Accountable means deciding not to be victims of the past and recognizing that the future is not predetermined, so our lives are what we choose in the present moment and each moment moving forward.Live to Give- Poverty Awareness
One of our 7 mindsets is Live to Give. The main focus of this mindset is about serving others. As a school, we feel it is important to model this idea and life quality for our students. Each month MCMS will focus on one or more causes to bring awareness too. This month our Live to Give cause will be Poverty Awareness.3rd Quarter Core Class Rotation
At the start of the 3rd quarter, we rotate the order of core classes that students report to during the day. This is done to help prepare students for transitioning to the High School (High Schools change classes at the semester break as well). On Monday, January 8th we will be changing the order of core classes for students (the change will not occur in the Parent Portal). For core classes only, students will start with Core 4, then Core 3, then Core 2, and end with Core 1. Students will still have Homeroom/Enrichment time at the start of the day and Related Arts classes will occur at the regular grade level designated time.
Students enrolled in quarter Related Arts classes will also rotate on Monday. Please check your Student Parent Portal for your new Related Arts classes. If you are in a year long Related Arts, you will not change that class.
2nd Quarter Academic Awards - January 24, 2024
We are proud to announce the 2nd Quarter Academic Awards on Wednesday, January 24th in our Big Gym. Our 8th Grade Awards will be at 8:15 AM and our 6th/7th Grade Awards will begin at 8:45 AM. We look forward to honoring all of our deserving who worked hard during the 2nd quarter.
MCMS Athletics
Good luck to our Girls and Boys Basketball Teams as they competing in two games next week, Away at Gilbert on Monday (1/8) and Home versus Sandhills on Thursday (1/11). We would also like to wish good luck to those students competing on our Archery Team and Wrestling team. We are proud of all of our student athletes!
