MCMS Update - January 15 - 19, 2024
Good Afternoon MCMS Families!
Happy Friday! We hope that everyone has stayed safe during the storms. We appreciate the flexibility and adjustments our teachers, students, and families made this week. Between starting a new semester and the inclement weather, we know there were several schedule changes.
We would like to wish good luck to our Jr. Beta Club members who are going to State Convention this week. Students will be competing in a multitude of events from Wednesday, January 17th until Friday, January 19th. The convention is held annually in Myrtle Beach. Let's Go MCMS!
Semester 1 report cards went home on Wednesday. Please talk with your child about how they did and set academic goals for second semester. We continue to encourage you to review your child's grades in the Parent Portal and on their Schoology app. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions related to grades or assignments.
Please read below for your MCMS Update for January 15th - 20th, please reach out to the main office (803-364-3634) if you have any questions.

Mindset of the Week- 100% Accountable
The 100% Accountable Mindset teaches the importance of being responsible for our own happiness and success. Being 100% Accountable means deciding not to be victims of the past and recognizing that the future is not predetermined, so our lives are what we choose in the present moment and each moment moving forward.Live to Give- Poverty Awareness
One of our 7 mindsets is Live to Give. The main focus of this mindset is about serving others. As a school, we feel it is important to model this idea and life quality for our students. Each month MCMS will focus on one or more causes to bring awareness too. This month our Live to Give cause will be Poverty Awareness.E-Learning Assignments DUE Soon
For the e-Learning day, students have five days to complete those assignments. If students do not complete the assignment within that time, they will be marked absent for Tuesday, January 9th.
